FAQ

  • Cancellation and Rescheduling

Our cancellation policy is 48 hours notice. Of course life happens, and If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. We do our best to be flexible. Everyone receives one “freebie.”

I ask patients to keep an active card on file to cover additional fees incurred including missed appointments, document requests, etc.

  • Do You Accept Insurance?

Unfortunately, insurance companies require a diagnostic code after the first session to cover treatment, and they do not maintain appropriate confidentiality requirements that meet our high standards of care. While we do not accept insurance, we can help you navigate the Out of Network insurance process. Feel free to send us your insurance information and we can get back to you with your reported Deductible and percentage of coverage per session. We ask you to confirm these numbers with your insurance company in case there are any errors. Reimbursement can be anywhere from 0-70% of session cost.

  • What Are Your Rates?

These rates include all assignments and communication outside of session. We accept a limited number of sliding scale patients. Please inquire to see if we can make it work for you - we do our best to be flexible and accessible.

    Fred’s rates:

    $300/ 50 minute session. $350/ 60 minutes couples session.

    Rebecca’s rates:

$200/50 minute session. $250/60 minute couples session.

  • Will I be in Therapy Forever?

At the end of the day, you get to decide how long you attend therapy. Generally speaking, the more time we spend together, we deeper we can go. Our goal is to ultimately help you learn and develop the skills you need to manage your mental health challenges on your own - but we are always here to help.

  • What Modalities Do You Use?

We do not believe in taking a dogmatic approach to therapy. Rather, we believe in being well-rounded and rooted in evidence-based treatment that is inherently compassionate, pragmatic, and effective. These include: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

  • How Often Will We Meet?

For the vast majority of patients, we will meet once a week. Extra sessions are available depending on availability, clinical necessity, and request. For clients in treatment for OCD (ERP), we may meet twice a week. Given the unique needs of each individual, everything is done on a case-by-case basis.
